Compare the Contractor

Picking the best contractor is not always easy.  The table below balances price and quality using clear criterior 0-4 to find the best value contractor (as opposed to the cheapest, which is not always the best (see the Low Bid).  Print a copy for each contractor and score each one accordingly, totalling up the points you award for quality and price - the highest points shows who is the best contractor - simple and transparent!  We've completed one below to save you time!

Often a balance of 60% for price and 40% for quality is used.  The table below rates Price at 60% and rates the quality of organisation and resources at 40% (this can adjust this to your requirements)

Give the contractor with the lowest price the maximum of 60 points.  Lowest Tender Price divided by another tender price X 60 (max.) points will give the Price rating

We like onsite standards to improve & always on hand to give recommendations to help improve your landscape.  Work can be costed, no obligation to achieve the standards you require, and we are happy to provide long term improvement plans or programme to assist with long term implementation of improvements if required.  Examples of work includes low maintenance planting programmes & displays, enhanced invasive weed management, landscape revamps / moderisation, maintenance reduction strategies, eco / wildlife strategies
