Service Notice - COVID-19 - SERVICE UPDATE

We are following advice from the Secretary of State for Health & Social Care - Mr Matt Hancock (MP) who on the 24th March 2020 confirmed people whose jobs has not already been shut down by the government measures to date should continue to work but should only be travelling to a workplace "where that work can't be done at home".

Moth-balling and wilful-neglect of some community and sports facilities such as bowling greens is now costing more to repair than what the usual maintenance would cost since lockdown. Greens - Reduced Maintenance Regime

Where greens are not being used (e.g. for practice / exercise in isolation) we're continuing to cut surfaces on a minimal basis, once or twice per week, on higher setting. This is essential to prevent damage to playing surfaces, and keep the greens and facilities from deteriorating. Please see the BIGGA and R&A links for further advice on this.

We will monitor the situation.

We understand work can be continued in isolation, outdoors in rural / gardens, were we need not contact with others, is low risk of contracting / transmitting the Corona virus. Our staff are now operating in isolation and will :-

	Minimise contact with others - and keep a minimum of 2m apart.
	Maintain the highest standard of hygiene practicable - us of wipes, sanitisers, masks where appropriate.
	Provide help where needed e.g. for customers living on their own e.g. should supplies be required.
	Travel to work sites in isolation, no commuting with others, no travel in taxi or public transport.
	Continue to provide emergency services e.g. tree surgery
	Provide telephone and email support
